Can you explain what you mean by a bottleneck? {Again, remember newbie here) but why is the red circle, which is in between two fields any better than the black circle...the stream? The red circle area is a major bottleneck and the first place I would check

A narrow spot that is connecting 2 larger pieces of woods, your circle would be more of a staging area in my opinion, for rut activity like now I would rather be in that bottleneck area I circled, I would be willing to bet somewhere near my circle a nice runway is crossing that creek and very visible, depending on wind and cover would dictate on what tree I would pick to set up in, looks like a super good area to me and one I would love to hunt, obviously depending on if the right sign was there, looks good on a map though, I would 100% scout/hunt it.Can you explain what you mean by a bottleneck? {Again, remember newbie here) but why is the red circle, which is in between two fields any better than the black circle...the stream?
That spot and the the north and south inside corners on that block that is circled were what jumped out to me. I like the topography from those corners, esp with the draw pushing up into that block. The red circle area is a major bottleneck and the first place I would check
