That buckle is definitely going on mine for next year. I found with all my outer layers on the waist belt I put on mine is a tad too short so I will be replacing that and adding a cobra buckle

I broke one of my standard GI buckles by twisting in the saddle while the belt was tightened. I upgraded to the one from milspecmonkey and I really like it. It's beefy.
 
The Cobra buckles are life rated, correct?
