I am curious about what you guys are using out there for scouting, infield, hiking purposes?
I am currently using www.caltopo.com to print out maps, mark waypoints, and plan out drive hunts etc. on the computer. I know this is a common site a lot of people use and it is great because you can put different layer and objects to cater to your needs.
I have an app on my phone called US Topo Maps, there is a free version and a paid version(I think if was like $12) but I liked it so much that I bought it. You can mark waypoints, add layers and use a tracking feature so it will track where you travel throughout the day. I have found it invaluable with doing deer drives I can periodically check it and make sure I am where I need to be or be able to look at it and get an idea on the terrain ahead and adjust accordingly. The downside to it is you need to have signal to download maps of the area you are hunting. You can do this prior to going hunting in an area that does not have cell coverage but if you forget to(Like I have done) its pretty much useless hahaha.
So there is my 2 cents, now lets hear yours!
