I filled my Podium platform with some DAP expanding spray foam. I don’t remember the exact type, but it was in the green can for gaps 1” or larger. This helped tremendously with killing the metallic “ting” with possible impacts on the platform. After the foam fully dried, I took a Dremel tool with a scrubber bit and cleaned off the squeeze out and rubbed off the non-skid finish on the bottom and inside edge of the platform’s outer tube and middle tube. I also scrubbed off the textured part of the factory paint on the mounting brackets knobs where the pull strap attaches. After I had the platform prepped, I used flat tan and satin olive as my two base colors. I then used flat black to add some contrast. After the paint had dried, I sprayed some crystal clear flat clear coat on it to seal it in. I think all the paint I used was Krylon brand that I picked up at Lowe’s. I think the tan may have been Rustoleum. Can’t remember exactly. I don’t have it in the pictures, but after everything was dry, I added some vet wrap that I picked up at Tractor Supply to the expanded metal platform pull strap knobs where they contact one another. I put some around the buckle of the pull strap also, but I’ve been playing with a 1/4” amsteel whoopie sling for tree attachment. With the foam added to the tubes and the vet wrap placed at contac points, this thing is dead silent now!
