What is up saddle obsessed?! I was raised on a farm in central AL and always had the luxury of leaving stands and that style of hunting and the only saddle I knew of belonged on our horse "Milkshake". Life has now relocated me in north Alabama where I have access nearby to public hunting so I figured I'd indulge. So after watching a video on YouTube of an urban hunter wearing this funny looking butt hammock and some much appreciated advice from this great forum, I got a Tethrd Mantis for fathers day. Well that's my wealth of knowledge of saddle hunting bc little did i know how hard these thing are to come by so I have about 6 more weeks to get mine. Again thank you all for the guidance, knowledge and patience to us newbies.
 
Another North Alabama new saddle hunter here too! I live in the Madison/Huntsville area. Where are you? I'm a public land hunter as well so I might see you swinging in a tree from your butt hammock too :grinning:

There is also some great squirrel hunting on Wheeler. They have an open squirrel season right before and then after deer season closes. I killed about 25 in five hunts during the post deer season squirrel season this past Feb/Mar.
