Why your user name?

Sipsey- A remote little stream, not too distant, where I learned to swim, fish, hunt, camp and served an apprenticeship on the rear seat of a flat bottomed boat till I was a proficient paddler.

From an old Choctaw word, sipsi- cottonwood tree, they apparently named it for the trees that once lined its banks.

kohannahfound1.I found a kohannah long Bow in the woods years ago.Story goes a Hunter got lost and just started dropping stuff in fear trying to fine a way out.I kept bringing it back and leaving it setting on my Jeeps hood every time I would hunt that area but I guess the fella was just too scared to come back to this spot.

I was just down there last summer. Brunswick, Jekyle Island and St. Simons Island. We then went up north for a week near Blue Mountain GA. Had never been before. Beautiful places!
Just moved to Flagler Beach FL. St Simons got too crowded with too many arrogant money people. Was able to retire (again) and move South to a little place that resembles the island of my youth!! Still on an island the, lol

Yea St. Simons was super crowded we went there one day just to see it. We enjoyed Jekyll Island much better. The ladies at the visitor center said you can go to St. Simon and deal with 30k plus people and tourists or Jekyll with 1800. We chose mostly the latter. I like the historic section of Brunswick too, those Live Oaks were amazing. You'd need a heck of a tether to get around some of those trees!!!!!!

My parents and grandparents both had motor homes when I was young. We used to load up and drive from MD to Beverly beach and spend a week there. If I remember correctly it was in or near Flagler. One year both my paternal and maternal grandparents went. I have a lot of great memories fishing from the beach with my dad and grandfathers down there.

Well.....it's my name. The number 916 comes from Bill (short for William, also my first name) Dalton who was a second generation surveyor in Greenville. His dad started the company back when Shoeless joe (also from Greenville) was still in the Major Leagues. Mr. Dalton trained damn near every one of the older generation of surveyors in this area and I work for him up until his death. I always got treated like royalty when I went to another office looking for a plat or with a question so I further added to it by putting Mr. Dalton's registration number after my name in my email address. Now I continue the 916 addendum as a tribute to Mr. Dalton. he was a helluva man.

That hits home with me... certain surveyors you follow ( May have died 75 years ago or more) you respect because they put out good work. Others will be remembered as crappy surveyor...

In our profession you never die twice, but you’re always remembered by the quality of work you stamp.

When I worked in the chem plants and refineries I used to write denots on all my tools. Tim is a pretty common name so I came up with this instead. Although nobody ever called me denots, everybody just called me by my last name. If you wondering how I came up with it. Well it's a secret.

My name is Mack, and if I’m not shooting deer or rabbits, I’d want to be at the beach soakin’ bait with a cold beer or 15.

I used to do carp fishing in tournaments. When I weighted my fish they guy on the speaker somehow misheard me really bad and called me cript instead of Chris over the loud speaker. Just got known as cript on the carp lakes from then on it stuck.
