There you go! Good shot too.
Finally got some meat.
This has been one of the slowest deer seasons I've ever had. Seeing very few deer, ive seen 9 of these fox squirrels this morning. Just about ready to forget the deer and start squirrel hunting. View attachment 21133
In the past I had good luck with the NAP spitfires. Small entry but good blood trails and exits. I'm currently using rage trypans and they're my favorite mechanical I've ever shot so far.Another doe down. She ran 400 yards, verified by GPS. Never had a double lung deer cover that kinda yardage. I think the fact that she was kinda suspicious of that blob in the tree, coupled with the fact that the woods she ran through were wide open, contributed to that.
Also, FWIW I'm not a huge fan of the NAP doublecross broadheads. Very "meh" blood trail. They're similar to the sling blades, which were also not very bloody heads. Haven't lost a deer to them, but if I'm shooting an expandable I wanna see big ole holes in stuff.

Yep. Clean pass through. Blades deployed. Just not a very big hole. I've killed lots of deer with the different versions of the spitfire.@Nutterbuster was there an exit at all?
Creepy!!!!!
I believe there is one so legendary they wrote a song about it. I think it's in Wisconsin.Just checking to see if this thread is still active. Keep checking my inbox for coordinates of a 30 pt buck in a state other than Missouri to go shoot for team 8.
