Shouldn't be a problem. The deer trying to figure out how the hell the dog got up that high in the tree should buy me at last a few more seconds. :)

So now that the dog rappels, is deer hunting with you out of the tree next on his list?

Nah. It's illegal to have a dog pressent while deer hunting in missouri. Believe me if I could I would never lose another deer after the shot. The other problem... How do you wash the dog smell off of a dog....

Haven't made a saddle yet, but have 2 custom longbows, 2 handmade selfbows, and a Matthews bow. The reason I remember or anniversary is my best short hair pointer was born that day.
Her friends still chuckle over that one. But I never forget.

I remember the year my wife and I started dating because I killed a good buck that year. I remember the exact date of the buck but not the exact day we started dating

My wife likes scouting in the winter on snow shoes with me, going for walks in the bush and scouting in the spring and looking for deer sheds and she likes eating turkey, ducks and venison. I am sure I will not get her in a tree. My daughter will hunt with me though. My daughter started with skeet shooting and target practice with a bow and moved to hunting.
Maybe if you start with post season scouting you might get her interested. Hiking is something she might like and then move to scouting and then to hunting.

I have gotten my wife into wildlife photography slowly pushing her deeper and deeper into the woods. She is getting some great photos so far this year

That sounds expensive, photography can get crazy! Maybe she can film your hunts for you?

One step at a time and right now its getting her into the woods and trusting a therma cell. I am already feeling the burn of photography combined with saddle hunting on the bank account but should be worth it to enjoy the outdoors with my wife in a way that we can both appreciate. I should try and post some of the deer photos she has some nice ones.

Thought about this good ‘ol post today so I figured I’d toss it back up to the top.
My wife has always been quick with the jokes, at least if they are at my expense!
