Im learning that saddle hunters are a welcoming friendly and helpful community. BUT, they are not a dime a dozen. your not just going to walk into your local sporting goods store or hunting/ fishing club and find a saddle hunter. Since im trying to convert over, id like to find some saddle hunters around my area. Saddles and the accessories are not really in stores and ive been suggested to meet up with guys around me to check out their riggs and gear. Im trying to find guys in my area. The USER MAP is a great tool. so Im hoping more people begin to use it. Looking for people in the SE. PA area. Outside of PHILLY. My area is Montgomery & Berks county, KingofPrussia, Pottstown, Reading, Allentown, Quakertown, Lancaster etc...
 
The SH user map is in a little bit of a transition period. It has been full of members at times but, the way it was set up people were accidentally deleting the data. There are some ideas in how to set it up differently but, they probably won't go into effect until after hunting season. Not discouraging anyone from adding themselves, just pointing out there might be a new/different map in the future.
 
I'll add myself. I'm in Ft. Washington in Montco although I mainly hunt in MD eastern shore

Im trying to hook up with seasoned or even new saddleers around me. No one I know uses a saddle. A few people are suggesting to connect with people in my area...… trying to find a way.....

dlist777, Im looking for suggestions, recommendations and ideas from people around me. Hunting local doesnt matter to me, Im just trying to meet some saddle hunters that live within 1.5hrs of me. I dont want to just go buy stuff , and im not one to follow the most advertised brand. ...…Would you mind if i send you a direct message?

I wasn't trying to discourage you and his thread is a great way to do that. I was just pointing out that you might have better luck communicating through this thread with other members directly, instead of waiting on people to add themselves to the map. I also wanted to point it out so any people that thought their location was already shown on the map would know their info has most likely been deleted.

This was my first full year hunting out of a saddle love it! I’m up in Berks county. In a town called Oley.
