It would definitely be difficult. So far I have had a little over 100 people respond and most expect to be between $50-100. Just doing a quick google search, a compound bow string is roughly $75. So that's maximum $25 dollars in labor. But for this I you would have to add in some sort of travel charge. Without that you'd never make money. So as someone else mentioned, it sort of comes down to the question of whether the customer is willing to pay a premium for the convenience of this kind of service.I don’t see a business like this ever being profitable enough to make it workout long term.
The amount of money you would need to charge to pay your overhead and make money would be to much for a guy to justify this over dropping it off at a bow shop and picking it up when it’s complete.
Would it be nice for the customer YES but the technician would starve after word got out what he charges in order to make a buck.
Just not enough demand in archery to support this as a full time business imo.
If your thinking side job for cash or a young kid trying to make a few bucks through college maybe but I don’t see it working for a full time job.
If you want to start a business where you go to the customer stay away from archery you can make far more $$$ mowing lawns.
