I'm reading this thread hoping there will be a leak concerning the ultralight version.

Convenience means nothing if your paralyzed or dead.I like safety too but having two legs straps come undone is highly unlikely and even if they did I doubt it would result in a fall. Convenience in this case trumps safety.

I agree safety is critical but a aerohunter without leg straps is no different than a sit drag.

I guess the original point was it would be nice if we could remove the straps to change clothes without coming out of the tree. It would still be optional to undo the leg straps if they had a buckle. It is a small risk the user could assume if they so choose. I completely understand the liability issues etc involved in all this and I do want to be safe. The aerohunter is a great product and input for changes were asked for and leg straps that are easily unbuckled would be great. That was the intent of the original comments. And, mind you, a sit drag was never made to be used as a DIY safety harness above ground height. It's one thing for us to mod products after they've left a manufacturers hands and entirely different for a manufacturer to knowingly produce a product that is less than 100% safe. Remember now everyone is ready to jump into a sit drag style harness. New tribe is just trying to bridge the gap - safely - for those that are interested in saddle hunting.

That's a valid point.I agree safety is critical but a aerohunter without leg straps is no different than a sit drag.

I get the safety reasons but I really liked new tribes products and purchased two aerohunters and a tengu ... all awesome products so I thought I would ad my opinions. The tengu saddle is sweet but never use the leg strap buckles and they ad weight BUT the tengu is sweet , I just wish it didnt have leg strap buckles or maybe different ones. Just my opinions .... but everyone is going to be different based on body size weight etc
