Anybody have aero/hydrodynamic education or flight experience? I, like many of you, like to tinker. Wanted to shoot bareshaft, eventually got FOBs, drilled out to slide up my shaft (not dirty, stay with me children) and they suck. Loud, less accurate, don’t fit great.

Zingers look ok, but a much smaller surface area and being so flexible should be less accurate than blazers or feathers right? More surface area (on a helical, straight wouldn’t matter) would stabilize better? And if it flexes, stabilizes slower?

Thanks for posting. I think you’ll see in the slow mo footage they stabilize the arrow very well. I compared them pretty extensively against four fletch blazers and Heat vanes and they shot just as well as those.

I have been shooting them and have nothing but good so far. Seem to work really well.

Wouldn't mind trying these out, any recommendations as far as degree of offset and number of vanes?

I have the 4 fletch with the 6 degree offset. I just figured i would get as much stabilization as possible.

For trad guys, can they be shot off a riser shelf like feathers can, or do they require a drop-away or shoot through rest?

Anybody tested them with big blade broadheads?

They would require a drop away or shoot thru. They are similar material to a blazer vane.

Has anyone else experienced these being louder (hiss through air) than standard vanes?

I know that is somewhat subjective. I tired these vs a 3" vanetec with lower profile and they seemed to noticeably hiss. Am I doing something wrong with them?

I just got some and I have also noticed that they seem louder than my Blazer vanes. Mine are the four fletch with a six degree offset. Could be that the material is a little more stiff than Blazers. Don't think it's a deal breaker but I did notice them being louder.

My fletching jig has up to 3 degree offset and I think that's what u get if u buy most prefletched arrows....I wouldn't be surprised at all if a 6 degree offset was making more hiss....more air displacement will make more noise

They look awesome and I think I wanna get some to compare against 2" feather.

The website says they slide off on pass thru.....keep us updated on if the glue keeps them on the arrow on pass thru

Mine are pretty snug. I really have to tug on them to get them down the shaft. But Zinger posted a picture earlier on their Facebook of the first Whitetail deer taken with their fletchings. The bloody arrow looked like it was missing it's fletching. I'm not too concerned about it though.
