These are excellent suggestions and I really like this thread. It is awesome that Mr. John is open to this kind of feedback, and it is great of
@kyler1945 to help collect it for him and provide insights from his extensive field testing experience with the product. You can't beat that!
I'd like to see a reduction in the bulk that it is in your immediate operational space (right in front of you). That is the bridge and the side straps that it mounts to. That is one of the things that struck me negatively about the JX3 compared to a soft saddle. Having any bridge in front of you is a challenge when converting from treestasnds, but it was never a significant problem in my Kite. The Hybrid however always made me feel like there was too much junk in the way of my pockets, my lap, my arm space, and just my personal bubble in general if that makes sense.
I think the weight is what it is but of course I'd pay more for a lighter version. I wonder if the idea of a seat-only model with a soft back band like other saddles have has any potential? Might get the weight down some.
Storage while walking is great. Access to storage while hunting not so great, but that is the nature of the design I'm afraid.
Keep the ideas and operational tips coming...I love the JX3!
