I started saddle hunting last season and have enjoyed learning a lot from everyone on this site. I was wondering how often you guys wear a back band while you hunt. I found I was using it every time out because it was more comfy, just wondering what everyone else is doing.

Mine sits at home, i find it annoying.

I have only used mine during all-day sits. I found it helps to change up the support and comfort after a long time.

Used to use mine regularly when I was hunting out of a phantom saddle. Switched to a cruzr xc and hardly ever use it now.

I find I use mine on most morning sits & not so much in the evening..... can’t tell you why really maybe b/c afternoon/evening sits have a hard stop & I can justify without. But I find it waaay more comfortable.

Used to use one all the time. Then one day I decided to try without it and didn't notice an appreciable difference. I don't use one now as a result.

I use mine on all day sits. I use it a lot pre dawn (I usually get in the tree at least an hour before legal shooting time). During that time I am usually relaxing and not in a hunting/searching stance. I have taken it on the last 6 afternoon hunts an it never left the pack.

I think I used mine 3 or 4 times out of 20 sits. Usually on 5 plus hours sits. It seems like to much bs to deal with a lot the time. I worry it will be in the way trying to rotate for a shot.

I bought one with my phantom and tried it a couple times however I didn't find I needed it, even on all day sits. I carried it all season however I will probably leave it at home next year.

Honestly I'm more comfortable sitting with my head leaning forward resting on the bridge than I am leaning back into a back rest. I sit looking one way for a bit then turn my head and look the other way for a bit. I find for the areas I bow hunt I typically hear them before I see them anyway.

I use mine on nearly every hunt since it makes my lower back pain go away. I've also noticed I wiggle less when I'm solidly leaning into something (like a back rest) instead of kinda free-hanging in the tree.

I am making a DBL back band so I will have lower support for my back pain and the other one is for just under the shoulder area think it will help me with pain an be relaxing as well
