I really like the looks of the kydex bow hanger that G2 outdoors did and am looking to see if anyone else has made one. My biggest concern is how to make it work with my quikee quiver. Any pics or comments would be appreciated.

Picture of my hanger, used kydex I got off Amazon. Cutting board to cut it, Hair dryer to soften it to bend and Dremel to smooth the edges

Looks good. I just don't have the room with my old 4 pin sight like that. I would have to move quiver up to the front sight mounting holes.

I have a guy at work with a 3d printer that i would like to make on like this one Screenshot_20210315-203436_Chrome.jpg

I do take my quiver off at hunting height. I like the idea of the kydex one going behind quiver

Do you have any concerns about durability of printed plastic versus bent kydex? My knee jerk reaction is kydex is less likely to catastrophically fail.
I need to do some more research on 3d printer plastics and see what his will do

@Rhino81 not to distract from the initial topic but is that a saw blade on your arrow??

I've seen a few.

I'd probably keep it in my pack until deployed though.

Whaaaat!? How awesome is that? Can it be used as a bone saw too?

That's a good idea. You could also carry a short stiff piece of arrow (6 inches of 200 spine wrapped in duct tape?) for close in branch work. The only thing I wouldn't like about that is 1. I like to be able to stick my saw in my pocket safely and deploy it on the way up and 2. I'd be afraid it might bend easy in a full pack if you leaned against it, etc.

If you buy one, please post a review!

Yeah, doesn't seem like it would be very sturdy at the end of an arrow like that. Would be nice to get firsthand feedback from those who have one though.

From what I can tell, the blade holster is thin nylon. If you made a thick kydex one (or something else stiffer) then maybe it would hold up to travel better.

Yeah I'm sorry. I meant how useful is the tool itself?Seems like the flex of a carbon arrow shaft, or aluminum for that matter, would keep the saw from being real useful when it's 29" away from you.

I would think it would work good for smaller branches. Came up with a design similar to smcchevy's for the 3d printer. Be about 5 inches tall and offset . Have to wait for him to get his new labtop as old one the screen died.
