Am I the only one that gets pissed off when you drop something while 25' up?

It's hard to beat a persimmon tree during the early season. I've been fortunate enough to hunt around some old homestead sites that still have the fruit trees. Deer absolutely love them.

Set 5 set up late got blowed out of the tree by a 130-140 class 10 pt. I had him in my headlamp while I was putting on my ameristeps. I think he was there the whole time and finally got a whiff of me and didn't like it. I really should have checked the weather. I probably shouldn't have hunted here today with a north wind. Got two buddies with me so I needed 3 sets. So it was the best option. I'm sitting over persimmons. Bigasports is sitting over acorns and his buddy is sitting a travel corridor between bedding and acorns. We shall see what this beautiful Tennessee morning brings us.

Set 6 set up in the chinquapins this evening over a service road. Deer have been using it by the looks of the watering hole about 25 yards to the left. Warmed up pretty good today but not bad

I'm hoping this works like a funnel and brings them right to me. We shall see

Try this with a climber

Those 3 Step CMI Etriers are awesome aren't they! I really like that you're using them with the Muddy Sticks. I've considered switching over to Muddy sticks from my Lone Wolfs since they're lighter, smaller, and easier to attach to the tree. I'm assuming you can get to about 20' with the three sticks? Is that about right? What are you using for a platform?

Yes loving the 3 step CMI. I do wish they were 4 step sometimes. I have black diamond 5 step on bottom. I'm 20'++ easy. Depending on the tree and how far I want to stretch. I set 5 ameristeps about 18" -20" above the 3rd stick. I have 25' pull rope attached at my waist and I usually pick my bag up off the ground when I step up to the ameristeps

The ameristeps on the ratchet cost me this morning.

I'm liking the wildedge steps for a platform more and more I just don't trust stepping up to them yet. I'm still learning to cam them over.

Came out early. Noticed a crack in my crossbow limb. I was wondering why it wasn't accurate. Now I know. I should have just bought a new one instead of try to find a deal.

I was ratcheting them down when a 130-140" 10pt blew at me. He ran up on the trail I had set up on stood there blowing at me while I watched him, my crossbow was on the ground still
I think he was there the whole time I was setting up but didn't like the sound of the ratchet. He didn't come back by the time I left at 11 am

Were you using a ratchet strap or the boat buckle?
