I love pictures of dead deer in boats.

I have the same fetish with deer in boats. Set a goal this year to kayak in, kill one and paddle it out. I went in 3 times by kayak and got close twice but didn’t seal the deal. Tagged out yesterday but wasn’t a kayak access. Maybe next year.

Must have be a big buck thing. My daughter was still giving me crap today about having to help drag the meat buck out last Saturday. :)

He said, “man we gotta haul it all the way back to the boat.” I told him, “dad, it’s only like 150 yards that’s gotta be one of the shortest drags you’ll ever have.” He said, “yea but we gotta do it twice.” He had me go check if we could take the deer down the other side. It was a shear drop off and he said maybe we could get the boat underneath and just roll the deer off into the boat lol. He was doing everything he could to get out of drag. We ended up dragging both and it wasn’t that bad at all. It was fun dragging an animal again with my dad for the first time in a long time. It’s even better that it was a nice buck instead of a smelly hog we grew up killing! I told dad that I could gut them there or he could pay extra to let the processor do everything. My dad and his dad too never liked cleaning any game for whatever reason so he jumped on that offer. Easiest hunt I could think of lol.
