Hi everyone,

New saddle hunter here looking to learn from more experienced hunters in Florida. I'm planning to start my first hunting season this year for Whitetails. I live in South Florida, but I can meet in Central Florida, or even North Florida if need be. If anyone would like a hunting partner or even if anyone is willing to meetup just to go over how to use saddles, etc. I would greatly appreciate it. I hope everyone is successful this season. Take Care.

I heard Swamp N Stomp mention in their last video on YouTube they will be picking two people from their Patreon to take on a hunt in December, not sure if that’s what you’re referring to. I also heard Chasing Tail Outdoors is coming to do a hunt in Florida this year. I’ll keep an eye out for events to get involved in.

Hey man, I'm a central Florida guy. I'd be willing to meet up and chat with you about saddles and such.
I'm part of the Chasing Tales patreon group and yes, CT is planning a patreon hunt in North Florida. Should be a good time. Will check into the swamp n Stomp teach and train

Hey FloridaMan,

I really appreciate it. I live in South Florida but I have family in Central Florida I visit often. I'll send you a PM.

Do you have to be a Patreon member to go on the hunt with the Chasing Tales group?

Check out Wood Tree Saddles out of Jacksonville! Really great saddles and really great guy! Lots of experience climbing and doesn’t mind teaching it to others! Flcanopystalker is his handle! Good luck this season

I'm in Hernando Co. and would like to meet up with fellow hunters who like to travel around to hunt. Anyone looking for a hunting partner or to scout in the offseason please shoot me a PM. I have camping gear, Gheenoe LT25, 4-WD Yota and plenty of time to burn on the books from work. I'm good with FL, AL, GA and SC hunting destinations (other places too), and enjoy it all Archery, Muzzleloader, General Gun along with dove/quail/turkey/duck. I also build custom ammunition and arrows, so hit me up.

I don’t know how I missed this. @Weldabeast , @rickhall20 , @Islandshooter
I agree that it’s about time we do a Florida Hunter Hangout event. You can hunt hog during small game season in Lake George WMA without a quota. They have several good areas with ample parking. It’s just west of Daytona that’s about as central Fl as you’re gonna get. We should do something soon. Florida is starting to catch on to saddle hunting and you guys are ahead of the curve compared to guys just now entering the game. Y’all hit me up if you are really interested and I will put something together. Everyone has different saddles, climbing methods and set ups. It would be a great opportunity to network with other hunters to try new things, learn a few pointers and make some new friends

Small game season runs from now until March 6. I would have suggested the weekend following Valentines but that’s gonna be saddle palooza. Deer season ends here mid January, so anytime between mid January and first week of March. If we can pick a date (majority rules) I will reserve camp sites for those who wanna camp. I’ll set up a couple tables, booths, some grills for burgers ect. It’ll be bring your gear, so people can check out your set ups then we will plan a hog hunt. Again Lake George is pretty central it’s within 2 or 3 hours of pretty much anyone in Florida (maybe 4 hours for the panhandle guys).
