Worst thing you’ve forgot to take into the field?

Same :(

I’m unbalanced though, one side more grey than the other. I also have a son and a daughter. Guess which child causes more grey hair.

Do tell. I have a 3 yr old boy and a little girl on the way. He’s been pretty easy so far

Right after college drove from DC to State College (about 3.5 hours) to hunt a couple days. I forgot my bow so the hunting didn't happen. Worst part is I didn't realize it until I woke up and drove out to my spot. Then spent the rest of the weekend panicked I left it out in the parking lot of my apartment and it was gone. Luckily I didn't I left it inside.

Forgot my saddle once two years ago. Ended up hunting from the ground, which I hate doing. Mighta cost me a buck had a decent one come in winded me about 40 yards out.

I understand the thermacell… but if anyone has ever been in the woods and forgot toilet paper then they know how much it costs to cut off a sleeve of a brand new first light shirt will cost you… TP is the best investment you can make and have with you on a hunt.

FYI… merino wool makes a great TP in a pinch

Couldn’t agree more! TP and baby wipes are an absolute must

I’m getting everything ready for tomorrow and went down to the basement to grab something, happened to see my release sitting there. If I hadn’t decided to toss a rain jacket into the pack and walked back down there’s no way I would have been in the saddle with it tomorrow. Blind luck.

Figure there are either some funny stories or good advice out there.

worst things: water on a hot day, TP, and tick spray

if you can float it....it's worth it to let a spare release live in your glove box all season....i keep a spare license, spare flashlight, spare knife, spare release, and a set of allen wrenches in my glove box all season

I've gotten to my parking spot, got my pack all ready, got my hip waders on...last thing to do is grab my bow.... shoot... it was still hanging in the garage..that was a tough day

I’ve forgotten my tab, not the end of the world but I know shooting my 65lb longbow with bare fingers my release will suck and my ring finger will be numb for a day or so.

I’ve forgot bow once and saddle twice that I remember. Luckily both times I was hunting close to home and could run back to get them. When I’m hunting farther from home I make a list and check it all off before I head out. My wife makes fun of me but, checklists have saved my butt on many occasions for many different things.
