Assuming you mean camo from people not deer? I use brown ‘camo’ patterned thin paracord vs the straps. The straps are what you are likely to spot as its a big horizontal line on a vertical one. That, plus put them up above my head. No ones taken them yet…
What tightening method do you use on the Paracord?
Anybody doing anything to better camouflage cams? I have a three pack of the cheap muddy’s on the way that are an odd brown color that will stick out. Seeing if anyone has done anything to hide them Better? Thanks
I had four stolen last year. Learned my lesson. Now have all in trees. I put 8 cameras in trees this year. 4 regs and 4 cell cams.Anybody doing anything to better camouflage cams? I do this ^^^^
Plus I use wire around the tree.
Sometime I will glue bark to the camera.
I get green rubber wire at Menards, in the garden section. Never thought of using it to hang trail cams. Thanks for the suggestion.Rubber wire for the attachment to the tree which is an Olive or Foliage Green color that matches in super well with most bark. I also like to use narrow cheap cameras on public like the $28 Tasco's. On public I hang them up high but I've also found the OD color of the Tascos seem to blend in pretty good. I also try to put mine in narrower trees that most people don't think a trail camera will be mounted too. I've also invested in @7mmremmag 's excellent camera mounts that he sells on his Etsy Store. They work great and he offers an automatic discount if you're a member of this site. I do have one black Bushnell HD that I've been using for years that I spray painted and it blends in well. My cell cams are just on private at this point.
