I am just curious what folks are wearing for a jacket to hun out of a saddle? This is one of the largest negatives to me is being able to easily slip on a jacket after getting set up and being able to use the pockets on the jacket once you get it on. So what are you all wearing?

in S Louisiana, usually just a hoodie...if its a cold day like 30s, i got my layers on and still rocking the hoody...but yeah you can pretty much forget about the pockets...I do also have a light zip jacket i think i got a bass pro that i sometimes wear over the hoody and it has small zipper pockets on chest that are nice.

I have the FL catalyst and I would freeze in 20 degree weather. This is warmer by far and I love the side zips especially. This jacket/hoodie cuts the wind well and has that warm high loft fleece. Open them up to get on my head easier. can open them from top or bottom to vent and to allow linesman rope or bridge through without having jacket all bunched or having to tuck in. I highly recommend.

I interpreted the post differently lol. Gotcha now. :)
lol
Yeah I was saying I thought the FL gear would have been a little more warm in 20-30 degree.... Its great for 45-60 ish....
So now i'm on the hunt for some COLD gear.
Thought about even looking at the heated vest/jacket options to wear with the first lite.

I agree with @NimbleTimbo that Kings anorak is awesome. It’s almost like they had saddle hunters in mind. I run the Scentlok wind brace. To put it on in the saddle I just throw my linemans around the tree and loosen up my belt a bit, then tuck it in and zip up. I don’t use the pockets I use a hand muff.
