View attachment 3521 I did everything I could to let him live... I tried to warm him and let him know I was in there. I blew my grunt call and everything but the dummy ran right to me anyway. I thought these deer were supposed to be smart
Nice job. Even stupid deer taste good

Well got a doe last night but not out of the saddle. Shot her from the lone hang on stand at the back on my property behind my house.

20 yard shot as she was coming in to feed with 3 other does. She was standing broadside. Rage hypodermic trashed her. Clipped back of both lungs and perfect pass through. Blood trail was ridiculous. Something a toddler could follow. Went 60 yards and piled up. Nice easy recovery.

Unfortunately pretty much ends my season as i have two deer for the freezer which is plenty for my family. Good luck to everyone still hunting. Beautiful time of year to be outdoors.

Happy to be in a tree, don't think I put enough thought into the location was so happy to be out there, windy day with some light rain. Went for the easy pre-set location, a buddies ladder stand on some private property.

Oh photo is what happens when ur buddy let's a saddle hunter use his ladder stand.

Freaking cold! 10 degrees today, had a couple does at 60 yrds, but came in from down wind and got spooky. Everything is so loud when it's this cold, bark snapping, everything creaks, snow is crunchy. Might be better off hunting from the ground... I don't think I can do that though.

Oh crap, 10? Was 25 for me today, I made it almost 4 hours before I got too chilly, although I did forget my down jacket, luckily I had some body warmers. No action :(
