Excellent videos! Well planned and executed! Appreciate your thoughts on your scouting and interpretation of sign, topography, etc.

One question. You keep mentioning that you are going to prep trees in several of your videos and posts. Are you allowed to make any cuts to trees/branches/etc. on public ground in Texas? I didn't think that was permitted, as in most states. Does this influence your choice of tree selection?

Keep the videos coming! I think you are much too hard on yourself in your abilities to video.

When I talked to the local game warden he rooks me no saws but i could do minor pruning. He basically told meet don't cut any trees down and don't cut and big limbs. I do my pruning in Jan through march where insects are not a problem. Legally you can't harm a tree; the trimming I do is poison oak, dead limbs and brush..... that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I use google earth and then cut and paste into paint - probably a much better process out there.

You might already know this but, you can print directly from Google Earth. It allows you to add a legend and title, change scale, etc. It sometimes takes a little time to process the file to print for some reason but, other than that it works pretty well.

The closeups were really cool. Here is something for you to try greenshot (free app http://getgreenshot.org/). You can capture full screen, window, region and there are some editing tools as well if you open it in image editor or you can then open it in paint
