I can't think how that would be possible unless your saddle was out of position and bridge too long before the fall..
Yep, if you do something wrong, then they help.

what if shirts came with a seatbelt? it would also serve no purpose would you still wear that?

but they're not keeping the saddle properly oriented on your body. You might sinch them down as tight as they go but 100's of other guys wear them loose or not at all and their saddle stays properly oriented on their body so it's not the leg straps doing it.But they don’t.
Saddles do. The ones I use were designed and tested using leg straps. And when I use rope to climb trees I’m damn certain those leg straps are keeping the saddle properly oriented on my body.
Don’t yuck my yum.

If it's weird don't look at this thread easy enough. Why did you comment so you can continue to feel good about using leg straps? I'm having a discussion on a forum. I mean I could be wrong but usually forums are designed to have discussions. Why did you ask this question? Only to argue against every reason for leg straps presented so that you can continue to feel good about not using leg straps?

I just did to your post. you claimed that the leg straps were keeping the saddle oriented on your body. my saddle stays oriented on my body perfectly and i dont wear leg straps. So it must be something else. And thats just one. i mentioned many others before. Can you site any references for the positions you’re taking? This site has a history of pronating safe climbing practices, so if you have some great insight that is contrary to all the industry standard practices, please enlighten us.
I'm not trying to argue with anyone just listening to points and give out other points. I dont care what anyone does when it comes to their own safety. Can you site any references for the positions you’re taking? Because not everyone climbs the same way. Non-rope climbers don't put the same angles stress on the saddle to cause movement as rope climbers.but they're not keeping the saddle properly oriented on your body. I mean I have SRT, multiple stick climbed now I one stick and have zero issues with my saddle on anything of them.Because not everyone climbs the same way. Non-rope climbers don't put the same angles stress on the saddle to cause movement as rope climbers.
