    Sight & Rest Suggestions

It was the same for me. I'd get bullet holes thru paper and my broadheads would group with the field points but after 20 shots or so I'd start seeing marks on the fletching. I think I've watched every QAD tuning video on YouTube twice.

    Sight & Rest Suggestions

It's from the felt that covers the launcher arms. I don't know if I'm getting a little bounce or what's going on for sure but it's leaving "tracks" on the vanes.

    Sight & Rest Suggestions

Thanks for the input. I ended up going with the Spot Hogg, the three adjustable pins will cover 90% of my shooting and I really like how open the sight housing looks with the vertical pin stack. I hadn't heard that limb driven rests were louder. I'm running a QAD Ultrarest and I can get it...

    Sight & Rest Suggestions

Like it says in the title, I'm planning to upgrade my sight and rest. Right now I'm leaning towards a Spot Hogg Fast Eddie Triple stack and a Hamskea Hybrid Hunter Pro. Mostly whitetails under 50 yds and maybe some 3D. Any other options I should be looking at?

Shifting from Ropeman 1 to hitch on 11mm tether.....suggestions that have been field tested

I use the Sticht with an 8mm eye-eye cord and a Camp 34mm aluminum rappel ring ($18.35 on Amazon) to SRT on Sampson predator. With a lot of up and down I find the Sticht with the hard ring doesn't have to be dressed as often as the soft Sticht. It's also easier for me to tie, especially in the...

Shifting from Ropeman 1 to hitch on 11mm tether.....suggestions that have been field tested

FWIW, I used the soft sticht on my tether towards the end of the season and was really happy with the way it tends one handed. I've never used a mechanical device but of all the friction hitches I've tried it is by far the easiest to tend.

Wild edge tree steps and aider

Long aiders can be pretty squirrely. When I was messing with the Primal steps @boyne bowhunter's modified Cain method was what I settled on. You get about 3' per step and it's a lot safer than the aider.

Wild edge tree steps and aider

I made this out of 1/4" dyneema winch rope to use on a Primal step. It was an experiment in one sticking that I've moved on from.

    Budget SRT?

I've been using a sticht hitch and a climbing sling footloop with a garda hitch for sit-stand SRT. I run the tail of the climbing line through the upper carabiner to make it easier to advance the garda. I had all the components laying around but I can't imagine you couldn't buy everything...

Making an adjustable AmSteel Blue bridge

@Fl Canopy Stalker posted instructions on how to make one that will do what you want. There are a bunch of ways to make them but this is what I've been using. You'll still need to search YouTube for how to make the splice. He also sells them and by the time you buy everything you could...

    Trad Bow rack

    I like that!

    Friction Hitches

You're right, I didn't catch that. I'll see if I can edit my post so it's tied correctly.

    Friction Hitches

At least they're cheap. I played around with the sticht hitch and a garda on a foot loop to SRT last summer. I have a system that works pretty well but ended up using DRT for rope climbing during the season. This year I'm going to revisit it and work on 2TC.

    Friction Hitches

I tied mine starting on the opposite end of the hitch than Brocky. I wrapped the rope from the top thru the hitch cord. You either have to start offset from the center of the loop to allow for the length in the wraps or dress it to even everything up. Then pull tight and dress it up...

    Friction Hitches

If you wind the climbing line around one side of the loop then pull it tight you get the wraps then it's just a twist, poke it thru the ring, put the rope thru, twist, rope thru again, and back thru the ring. I was pretty sure it could be done but I didn't get time to mess with it until tonight.
