    Best ratchet strap for ROS

Here's a good video to minimize the noise on a ratchet strap.

Does anyone just use the ring of step?

Ha, I forgot about that one!

Does anyone just use the ring of step?

Who's going to be the first one to post a video of peeing from a ROS? :tearsofjoy:

Does anyone just use the ring of step?

I just got mine this year and haven't hunted off off of them yet, but I don't see why putting on jacket would be an issue. I did it for a couple years one sticking while sitting in the saddle at height (not standing on a platform). Peeing, well that could be an issue lol. But I don't have...

    Pursuit Platform Gen 2 questions

I just got my Cobra in on Thursday. It seems like it's going to be a great saddle. I noticed the bride slipping through the Amsteel prusik on the left (non tendered side). It was a lot the first couple times weighting it (all the way to the stopper knot). Then just slightly when...

    8mm Predator rappel rope

I was reading on a different thread about a new device coming out to potentially use on smaller diameter ropes.

    8mm Predator rappel rope

I have thought about that in the past as well. But now I’m actually thinking of being able to leap frog my hitches past branches with a single rope rather than carrying an extra tether

    8mm Predator rappel rope

Just out of curiosity, what’s the thought process on when to use the two different ropes?

    Why don't yall 2TC?

I one sticked for a few years and made my own paracord loops, which I found much easier to use than flipping the rope up. Though I do have a flimsy hand me down rope from a climbing guide friend, which is not as easy to flip. I did order the handles from CGM though and excited to try those out...

    Why don't yall 2TC?

Can’t wait to hear the results. I’m curious about putting 2 feet in it instead of the leg wrap. I remember seeing one of the actual hunting companies selling these, but I don’t remember which one.

    2tc vs one sticking

I just started playing around with 2TC in the yard about a month ago and did my first full climb in the woods yesterday, so take it for what its worth lol. But I'm using my rappel rope as my top tether. I already had it from one sticking and see it as the safest way to be tethered and descend.

    2tc vs one sticking

Yup, my Mad Rock was always banging my stick. I guess that could be eliminated with some type of hitch, but it's not banging anything in my 2TC setup. And like you said, the minimal slack was a huge factor for trying this.

    Why don't yall 2TC?

I did my first full climb today in the woods after practicing several small climbs at home. I'm loving the packability of this kit. It made scouting in dense areas feel like I wasn't carrying anything! And I like having rappel line as the top tether - quick and safe way to get down. It was...

    Why don't yall 2TC?

Thanks for clearing that up. This could probably be accomplished with a 3rd tether that we carry anyway to get around limbs. I did play around with using a linesman belt , and that seemed to add stability without leg hooking.

    Why don't yall 2TC?

Thanks, I’ve seen those, and they make sense. But Jerry had mentioned that it takes the place of a leg hook on larger diameter trees. Lol thanks, I’ve seen those, and they make sense.
