    Dave your video is the specific reason I have no doubt the amsteel will grab and hold if used correctly, i just can't figure out why it seems everyone went with 1/4" and not 3/16". Do you think using a smaller diameter than 1/4 would be less user friendly (i.e. being to lightweight when handling)?

    I have searched everywhere to try and figure out why everyone is using 1/4 amsteel for the rope mods and not 3/16. For the 1/4 its 8600 lbs and 3/16 being 5400 lbs. The strength seems way overkill for either one compared to 8mm accessory cord and 3/16 is almost half the price at Dutchware...

    Just wanted to say hey. I've always hunted from the ground or from a climber. Wondered unto a couple videos online about hunting from a saddle and got curious. I have really been in the market for a hang-on stand and sticks, but now this has got me wondering about just going with a saddle set up.
