    Where at in the Midwest? I am just south of Chicago and had a friend hit an antlered buck in his car a few weeks ago. Thought that was really late for our area.

    I went with the KUIU venture 2300. Not the pro system but the day pack. It is $220 on their site right now but I picked it up on a 25% off sale. If not that I was going to get a molle system from military surplus.

    Haven’t even hunted out of the saddle yet and the 2300 venture is what I landed on. After trying a few old packs I just wasn’t happy with the set up. Got the KUIU pack during their Presidents’ Day sale. Couldn’t be happier starting with that pack

    1 Mile Run 100 Pull-ups 200 Push-ups 300 squats 1 mile run with a weight vest if you can. workout was named after LT. Michael P Murphy, it’s a pretty mainstream crossfit workout.

    Murph is a great one, getting a weight vest was a great addition to my home gym. I have used Murph as a challenge the past 3 summers. 1st time on Memorial Day and see how much you can improve by Labor Day.

    I was considering this pack as well. I envisioned putting sticks and platform on the meat shelf, then strap extra layers to the pack as needed. Or possibly sticks, currently plan on running the hawk minis on the side. Anyone with this pack have suggestions.

    Thanks, I have been looking at a molle frame set up in conjunction with my current packs. Strap everything nice and tight to the molle frame. Used a similar set up with my hang on and loved it.
