    Looking for help with my climbing set up

    I’m 5’6” and use 4 lone wolf sticks to get 20-22 feet without stretching them out much. I do use a single step aider on the bottom 2 sticks to give me a boost right off the ground. My buddy is 6’2 and he gets 20’ with just 3 lone wolf sticks because he can stretch them out more.

    Extra Clothes

    I will go with bibs if I plan on making long sits in temps 35deg and below. I feel the bibs help keep my core warm so I can wear fewer layers on my arms when bow hunting. I have a set of wind stopper pants that I can wear as an outer layer if I don’t need the insulation of the bibs.

    I sweat easy so I always carry my heavy clothes into my setup. I have an older bass pro internal frame backpack that I used my speedy stitcher to add webbing and buckles to secure my sticks as well as extend the existing webbing so I can easily strap my winter close to the outside of my pack.

    One thing to condider is the fact that they are hunting public ground and a lot of it is in more remote areas. Getting dinner and reinforcements for the track and then long drag out is a good idea. When in doubt back out. If I don’t see an animal go down that’s exactly what I do. Has paid off...
