When does pre-setting trees become littering?

There's a couple different questions going on here: "Is paracord litter?" and as far as regulations are concerned "Is paracord a stand?" The first question is going to vary mostly by user and who's paracord it is. "If it's mine, it's not litter." As for the second, I think you'd be real hard...

    Deer aging question

This isn't entirely true. You can absolutely tell if a deer is a fawn, 1.5 or 2.5 and older. It does become an educated guess above 2.5, but "Inexact at best" isn't true. It's "exact" in those first 2 age classes.

    Suggestions for Ebike groups

I don't ride an e bike, but ride a fat (Salsa Mukluk), and good quality costs money in the bike world. Most ebikes that I've seen start in the $1500 range and most of the ones that are in the hunting market have garbage components (fork, wheelset, derailleur, frame, etc) by cycling standards. A...

    Heater Suit - Design Challenge

Yeah, it's worked well, I just need to do a little refining. We made it with some heavy cotton Max 4 camo that I had leftover from a kayak blind for ducks, so it tends to blob out a lot in a tree. Might need some light colors added or some 3D. A wind blocking layer would be nice, but not...

    Heater Suit - Design Challenge

My mom made me one of these a few years back (she's an old school quilter and used to strange requests from her nearly 40 year old son...) It's got a single boxed foot area and has both a zipper and a couple magnets sewn in to keep together while unzipped. I need to make some cuts in it to...

    Daisy chain as gear hanger

I made one out of paracord and loop the long end through the first loop and hang my pack from the long end. Put's my pack a little lower where I want it and keeps enough weight on it to keep it tight. Also built another out of para using 2 CamJams, facing opposite directions, one to tighten...

    Changed my bridge system

Thanks for sharing. I know your saddle has different attachment loops for lineman vs bridge, but theoretically one could use the same carabiners for the lineman and bridge attachment to save weight/bulk if they were the same (Sitdrag). You'd just have to be careful about which one you were...

    Carrying sticks with no pack

I do this with my Swaider when I carry my sticks. Sometimes I'd rather carry my sticks and attach my bow to the pack.

    Primal v-treestep

The buckles are heavy, but if you cover them with a tube, they're nice and quiet and easy to adjust if you're new to camming a step over. I'm using one for a platform and ended up going with one with the stock strap for that application. I just liked it better and didn't mind the extra few ounces.

    Knaider /Swaider stick users

Finally resized. Maybe what I’m doing has been done before and I missed it.

Yeah and it’s a bit of a different application between stepps and an uncut stick. Whatever works.

    Knaider /Swaider stick users

Isn’t your knaider hook at knee height? You still have to reach down a bit. What I’m doing keeps my looping operations at or above shoulder height (give or take). What I’m doing gives the benefit of a moveable single step aider and the security of swaider.

    Knaider /Swaider stick users

I still run the swaider on my left, but could be used on either foot. The only biner is on the shock cord to keep the loop within reach while unhooked. The loop I made is tied to the top of my swaider. Wish I could insert pics...

    Knaider /Swaider stick users

I basically added about 40” to a knaider, got rid of the hook and moved my shock cord and biner over and now have either a long swaider or an aider fixed to my foot. I like it better as it eliminates having to reach down and unhook a carabiner and I don’t have to worry about hitting the aider in...
