Do you hang your backpack high or low?

I primarily do spot & stalk and still hunting out here in west TX and NM due to the lack of real trees. But when I'm up in the mountains where there are real trees, I hang it on the back side of the tree waist high to access water/snacks for longer sits. For short sits, I'll hang it off of the...

    Quieting carabiner’s - how to?

Not sure if someone already mentioned this, but I'm try out "Linerless Rubber Splicing Tape." It's thicker than elec. tape. Its a 0.76mm thick roll of rubber. The adhesive doesn't seem thick and gunky so I don't think it'll leave a mess on the carabiners.

They're pretty high up. Close to the canopy. I'm only using a 50' rope. I've been setting up at 25-30' and the closest branches are probably another 30' above that.

New to SRT/SRS: Line install question.

I'm new to the SRT/SRS game and have a question about installing the climbing line. I'm in west TX where real trees are noting more than mythical things only seen on TV. I hunt mostly up in the mountains of NM and most of the pines I see are 90'+ with no branches down at hunting height or even...
