    Setting ring of steps

    I do basically the same thing with my ring of steps (ameristep). I attach them about a foot above my last step. I just don't hook up my tether until I'm on the ring and instead have my linemans belt on. I've been able to ratchet it very tight when I have it about chin level to attach.

    I've also noticed the case being in the way a little when climbing. I think my change to the Wild Edge steps should help vs. the lone wolf sticks. For me the thing about binos is you don't really need them until you do. Hate to give them up.
