    Ideas for a gear hanger?

That is correct. When it is unloaded (my pack is not hanging on the girth hitch) you can open up a loop which will take some slack from the other loops. I keep some tighter and open others depending on what I have hanging there

    Ideas for a gear hanger?

Here is my take on the amsteel gear hanger. Instead of a daisy chain, I did a series of buries and exposed sections. This way when I girth hitch it to the tree and hang my pack from the end, the loops stay open. When the hanger is unloaded I can adjust to loop sizes if I need to.

How do you pull up your bow??

Right now I'm using a length of Zing-it with a carabineer on each end. On my way up I'll clip one end to my bow/rifle and the other end to my backpack. Then pull up bow/rifle. Merino wool base layers

Based on a recommendation here I recently order some merino base layers from black ovis/camofire. I went with the heavyweight top, and the 3/4 midweight bottoms. Have not taken them afield yet though. I really like the idea of the 3/4 bottoms combined with a really good merino sock. It will be...

    Canyon IV Sewn Eye

Sorry can't help with your question, but curious why you want a sewn eye on your rappel rope

    Camofire

I did see that note on the bottoms and rounded up on size. I also have not had an issue exchanging for a different size on camofire, so I'll try it all on and swap out what I need to.
