Got a Cruzr XC, wondering if I should have gotten the Archon

No matter what saddle you will start to feel pressure in certain spots. This is my third season doing it and after many saddles I have finally realized this. The best so far is using a two panel saddle so that you can adjust your pressure when it gets to be too much. I now use the Treehopper...

    Predator platform noise.

“Clicking” is the metal to metal contact from the upper bracket moving. “Squeaking” is from what you are referring to.

    Predator platform noise.

It’s because the bracket that bites into the tree pivots and moves. Buy a Lone Wolf bat wing and it will not move and makes it dead quiet.

    Recon belt mod feedback

If you mod it the way I did it eliminates the binding of the two panels and still allows it to have an adjustable waist belt.

    Recon belt mod feedback

Which belt do you have? The speed buckle or the new two piece raptor buckle?

    Recon belt mod feedback

Belt mod solved for me. Just buy a longer piece of webbing for your bridge. Set your preferred bridge length. Take the left over tag ends on either side and attach a buckle of your choice. Now you have a belt and bridge in one. No need for anything extra. In this pic I have pulled the belt...

    Bridge Length

Mine is set at 44” and seems to work well also.

    Bridge Length

Any of you Saddle Hunters have a bridge length over 30”? Seems like that’s the only way I can get ride of most of my hip pinch. Just want to see if I’m a loner in this area. Thanks!

    Confession one stick

Don’t you do any presets? I think this whole mobile hang and hunt thing is overrated. I rarely shoot a deer from a tree I just found and hunted from the first time during the season. I have a set of Beast sticks all stealth stripped up but have never used them. Public land I use preset...

    Stealth Cam Fusion X

Bought two Stealth Cam Fusion X wireless trail cameras. I cannot download the software upgrade thus not allowing me to change any wireless settings on the cameras. Tried calling but sat on hold for over and hour three different times without anyone answering. Communicated several times...

If you could keep only one...

Modified Recon, no leg straps and no waist belt. Just got heavy duty webbing and made a longer bridge then took the tags ends on either side and connected those to my 1” austrailpin buckle. So small it fits into my leg cargo pocket. I keep that in one leg pocket and my tether in the other on...

Which saddle do you plan to use during this hunting season?

Recon by Treehopper. After using the Tactisaddle, Mantis, DIY sitdrag and H2 nothing compares to a two panel saddle for comfort.

Save your money on “Scent Control”

Nov. 2nd 2019 Ohio I hunted a thick draw. To my east and west was thick bedding areas, north and south two corn fields. When I arrived I saw the farmer had cut down some of the corn behind me. At 4:30 a doe came by with one fawn walked over my entry path (high weeds) and started to feed in the...

Save your money on “Scent Control”

Here’s another story how scentlok and scent control helped me harvest another mature PA buck. It was late Oct. 2012 and a cold front was blowing in. There was 15 mph gusts and I decided to hunt at the bottom of a valley (where people say to stay away from because of switching wind currents)...

Save your money on “Scent Control”

Here’s another story and hopefully it will help hunters that are afraid of hunting one spot more than once because some say “first sit best sit” when it comes to leaving scent behind. Oct. 24th 2018 I was hunting a farm open to the public. This buck had been seen by a lot of hunters and was...
