    Bullman steps

The primary downside to steps is that they add around 50% to your climb time.

    Compound self sufficiency...thoughts?

It isn't hard. Working on a car is x100 harder. I do a much better job than the local shops because I read online and I care about my equipment. I think their training isn't much, from what I've seen around here at least. A huge advantage is the ability to microtune your setup. For...

    Compound self sufficiency...thoughts?

Yep, even the little parts like extra cable stops. I had a problem where no local dealer would order me these because they made no money off helping me have some spare parts that were cheap parts.

    Compound self sufficiency...thoughts?

Make sure your bow does not require the new past parallel fingers that LCA sells. If you need it, then you'll have to buy those, and they aren't cheap. Almost no one makes their own compound strings. I order mine from one of the several very good aftermarket makers. For a cheap and fast one...

    Compound self sufficiency...thoughts?

I would jump straight to the LCA EZ Green bow press and not try to save money here with a portable or DIY.

    Bridge backup

That's a cam strap? Those are not meant to be a life support item because sticks and stands are not primary life support.

    In between saddle sizes??

Medium 100% I am a 34 waist pants but they are loose and I could probably get into 32s if I skipped a meal. I use a medium in that same saddle. The general consensus is always go up if on the fence.

$78 for Bobby Worthington’s Final Quest is money better spent on Little Debbie’s

Not changing spots or always changing spots, as a way to cheat probabilities, can be like folks that always play the same Powerball number or always play a different number thinking that that changes the underlying odds. It doesn't in that case unless there is an outside force. In this case...

Cruzr Xc vs Ape Canyon deluxe saddle?

I have the Cruzr XC and the Ape Canyon Deluxe with Cobra Buckles. The Cruzr is larger and slightly more comfortable due to larger size and the stretchy mesh fabric. The Ape Canyon is much better made, uses thicker webbing and other materials, and has strong buckles. These are the type of...

How Much Weight Are You Carrying?

My pack contains everything except my bow and pocket stuff (phone, knife, etc). All my pack gear AND the pack weighs 18 or 20 lbs with my bare minimum gear. It goes up if I carry in more water, layers, survival stuff, etc. It never exceeds 30 lbs.

Things you have bought that turned out to be not worth the cost or were a waste of money?

Worst money spent: All the times I didn't get what I wanted and instead got something that was on sale/cheap. All the insulation schemes I tried to come up with prior to going full goose down. All the base layers and liner socks I bought prior to going full synthetic with antistink silver...

Things you have bought that turned out to be not worth the cost or were a waste of money?

I see you haven't been bitten by the Spyderco bug? Best knives in their price range, just some people consider them ugly because of the Spydie hole. They invented the pocket clip, one handed opening, and several locking mechanisms.

    How Many Platforms

I have carbon-fiber prescription custom orthotics and all my boots have a heel. I just balance with platform edge against that heel and have no issues with this for 12 hours straight.

    properly breaking shots

you're shooting with back tension using a wrist release? If so, having a somewhat loose strap and being able to pre-load the finger flesh a bit is key. What I mean is the trigger must be heavy enough that you can push the flesh down on your finger pad prior to the shot. The looser strap...
