    Hoist rope

I found some small diameter rope, similar to clothesline but a but bigger. I like something slightly larger diameter because the paracord-size stuff burns up my hands when I let it slide through my fingers to climb down.

    Must Have Duck Hunting Gear

I've spent too much money on aftermarket chokes and they don't pattern any better than the factory chokes. They come loose if I don't use a tool to tighten them, so the "tooless" theory is out. They CERTAINLY do not add range. You might make a long shot and knock a bird down here and there but...

    Roll Up Rope Pouch Clone

I’d consider selling mine if someone wanted it. It doesn’t really fit my style. A dump pouch is easier for me. PM me if you’re interested. Pics are a little ways back in this thread.

    Badlands Dash Pack—A One-Sticker’s Dream

Thanks for the heads up. I’m a guy who isn’t afraid to pee from the stand and it proves to be very difficult when you can’t stand with your back to the tree. Lol

    Badlands Dash Pack—A One-Sticker’s Dream

This is my first season in a saddle. I have a little bit of rope rescue experience so I felt very comfortable jumping to the one-stick method. It has taken about 6 weeks, but I have built the perfect system for my needs. My average walk in is about 3/4 of a mile but often doubles that. My set up...

    Saddle Fall

I’m up in the tree now and happened to look at this. I use the supplied tether that came with a Muddy tree stand harness a few years ago. It came from the factory with no tail on the overhand bight. I’m hooking up my rappel rope now

    Arrow straightness

I do this. I've been shooting Gold Tips. Last year I shot the Kinetic Pierce Platinums and I was not impressed. They weren't very straight but I was able to correct a little out by cutting from both ends. This year I went a bit cheaper and bought the Kinetic Pierce and they're about the same...

    Roll Up Rope Pouch Clone

I probably should have done zigzag stitches since there is some stretch but if it breaks down I’ll make another one. The toughest part for me was the stretch in the mesh. Once I started working with it, it stretched and wasn’t square anymore. Thanks for the help, I couldn’t have done it with out...

    Roll Up Rope Pouch Clone

I figured I’d give this a go. I’ve never sewed before so I had my parents over for dinner two weeks ago and my mom let me borrow her sewing machine. I finished this afternoon and I have it in the tree as I type. So far so good. The Amerisuede is awesome. I love it.

    First Lite UV Glow

UPDATE The UV Killer didn't work. Now that it's dry the glow is back like I never even applied it. However, I was rushing to see if it worked when I applied yesterday and I "skimmed" the directions, I didn't "read" them. When I read Red Beard's post I had to double check the bottle. I applied...

    First Lite UV Glow

I got the UV Killer in the mail today. We'll see what happens. I sprayed it on and immediately noticed a difference. I brushed it into the fabric and seams with a 3" chip brush and sprayed it heavy again to finish. The negative reviews I've seen say it doesn't have the same effect once it dried...

    First Lite UV Glow

I've always been really happy with their stuff until now. Kinda bummed. I'm looking into how to rebuild my layering kit not. I might pick up a quiet puffy and a quiet soft shell. I just don't like not having anything local to hear and feel.

    First Lite UV Glow

Gotcha, yeah that’s why I buy camo for my cold weather gear. They don’t make quiet, durable, warm gear for anyone but hunters. Down to 45 degrees or so I’m all set because I have regular clothes I wear that perform great, but once it gets much colder than that I need more warmth without bulk.

    First Lite UV Glow

Do you know of any warm coats like that? I’ve had the Cabela’s Berber fleece and it was very bulky, then I bought the Cabela’s Wooltimate jacket and that wasn’t bad with layers under it. I’d prefer nothing camo so I can wear it around town and not look out of place lol.

    First Lite UV Glow

That’s my dilemma. First Lite wasn’t interested in helping me find a solution. I ordered UV Killer. I’ll post the results when I can try it.
