    Spypoint Micros on Camofire

Could not agree more with your assessment of camofire. 4-5 years ago they had “real deals”. There are a few items that still will peak my interest but it’s rare. Depending on what you want the “refurb” cam deals can be decent and a few weeks ago they had cam mounts (refurb) that were cheap, but...

Non Camo clothes that are quiet, warm, and dry?

Ll bean merino wool commando sweater ( bomb proof compared to all the hunting brands). I also use a weathered carhart olive heavy hoody. That hoody has almost become a superstitious thing at this point. Meriwool base layers but obviously those are not outer wear.

    Trophyline knee pads

Wow! I’m guessing they must be near bomb proof.

    Trophyline knee pads

Just got mine the other day. Glad to hear your solid long term review of them. They seem well built and well designed. If they are as good as you say and they cost $25 and they last 10+ years, then that’s about as good as a deal gets. I’m not sure I have any gear that has lasted 5 years.

    Meth head squatter?

I have several spots like this where in early season scouting is sketchy. Tents everywhere, tent and tarp city. It’s disappointing because public ground here in Maine and for the season I’m hunting is so limited. I have one spot that is absolutely loaded with rubs, so I’m assuming the transient...

    What boots are y’all wearing?

So the La Sportivas let me down.... Broke an eyelet while lacing up, you would think I’m the hulk or something not a middle aged frumpy dad. I was bummed about the lack of support that was offered by camofire. I wore these boots maybe a dozen times. Guess it’s time to try one of the other...

John Eberhart YouTube hunting channel is up!

Incredible! Really excited for this and grateful that he would time the time and effort to produce content to help others. Blows my mind really.

Speculative Theory/Wish - THP Public Challenge

I get why you are saying regarding the ag land hunts ( many in Iowa or Kansas) as they are entertainment but not realistic for most. The public land challenge though is a different beast. THP puts out a product that is in a space of its own right now. The other media outlets continue to push...

    DIY Deer Cart

Folks who have tried the bicycle cart option... any issues with weight load? The model I’m looking at says 110lbs, which is a tiny deer in my neck of the woods. Is this the sort of thing that probably can handle 300 lbs, but they are being super conservative?

    What boots are y’all wearing?

Those vapors look pretty mean. I’ve heard mixed reviews on their durability, probably depends on care and type of use though.

    What boots are y’all wearing?

Good news about those innov8s. I’ve almost pulled trigger on those a few times, both boots and sneakers. I recently purchased the la sportiva nucleos and so far so good. They need to be treated prior to really putting them to work( nikwax or something similar) man do they fit though. Hiking...

    How did it live?

Neat post. This gives me pause as I used these broadheads last year. I purchased them on camofire at an incredible price but relied on the dependability of the NAP brand ( in my experience). I had them save me on a poor shot this year and also punch through a shoulder at 20 yards. I’d be...
