    W.E. step with cam cleat

Have you weight tested those straps and buckles with more than you weigh? What type of rating do they have? Source for those?

    W.E. step with cam cleat

Yes. I have bent a couple steps trying to cam over when the rope is too tight though.

    W.E. step with cam cleat

No real updates. I have had it attached to a tree for a few months now. Will be using as a perch next to a pre set ladder stick set soon though. It hadn't loosened one bit in the time I had it on the tree. I was using it to simulate the top step with my JX3 about 3 feet off of the ground. Not...

Anyone make a self bow? Trying my hand.

Mike Yancey of Pine Hollow longbows, has a short video explaining tillering on his facebook page dated Feb 15, 2022. It is well worth the watch.

Anyone make a self bow? Trying my hand.

Here is what will happen if you violate the growth ring or get it too thin. Hickory is a different animal. This is Osage. Had hundreds and hundreds of shots out of it. Noticed some cracks on the back getting worse recently. Quite spectacular when they break! LOL

Anyone make a self bow? Trying my hand.

I have killed one deer with hand made bow, arrow and knapped arrowhead. I am going to try to do it again this year. Mike Yancey at Pine Hollow Longbows is a great source of knowledge and supplies. He has a few videos on youtube. Here is a link to a tillering gizmo. They make tillering a whole...

It's just...a little crush... - Review of the JX3 Hybrid Saddle

I'm not sure a kid has the presence of mind to safely climb and set up a saddle. I guess the only way to find out is let them try it on the ground or a foot or two up.

I bought this pack new but never took it to the woods. I have another pack as my go to. This Tenzing TZ 6000 is in like new condition. $250.00 shipped to lower 48. If outside lower 48 states, cost of shipping would be more I assume. Paypal F&F accepted or cash if local to the Tulsa Oklahoma...

Traditional from a JX3 is a little challenging.

I need to get some more frequent sessions in with my JX3 and my selfbow for sure!

    Did a little knapping

Another one for the quiver. A little symmetry work and some fine sharpening of the serrations and it will probably be my no. 1 arrow.

    Did a little knapping

This one turned out nice. The previous point didn't. Broke a corner off.. ughh

    Did a little knapping

This one should be a real killer. Some narrowing to do but its nice and thin. Stone age Zwickey Delta, LOL.

    Did a little knapping

Hafted Dacite point on hickory arrow.
