    Problem with new Treehopper Drill

In warmer weather do the cuttings/dust come out as you screw into the tree? If so have you noticed in colder weather the cuttings not coming out? If that were the case I'd think the cuttings are clogging up the bit due to excess sap/moisture. Just a thought.

    Best pants for saddle hunting

Agreed. I'm sure they are very nice but the $200+ price tag and not being waterproof, insulated, as well as the need to add the knee pad will keep them out of my closet.

A typical hunt set up for me this year. (Single Stick Climb Video)

Great video. Do you have another loop tied into your tether line that your right foot is in to use before stepping into the aider loop on the stick with your left? What descending device/s are you using?

    Favorite Every Day Carry Knife

I tried this knife and agree completely about the tip, nice knife and very sharp. However I work on a tug boat, so any drop from normal carry height on the steel deck will likely result in a broken tip. I also use my knife for prying and that's not an option with the spyderco para.

    DIY sub-1lb climbing stick adventure!

That collar you put in the middle to attach your rope, if you added square aluminum outside and welded the round into the square be an option? If so on the outer side of the square you could weld 2 studs to work as cleats for your tie off. Also for top step you could weld a cap on to prevent...

    Tied amsteel

This goes right with using the right tool for the job. If you use the wrong tool, or even the right tool improperly do not be surprised when bad things happen. This is a safety issue. Please follow the proper methods for use of any and all safety related items in this style of hunting.

    Favorite Every Day Carry Knife

Have 2 griptilians and love them, looking picking up another with "sheeps foot" blade. Keep 1 at home and 1 at work. Easier to fly with just a carry on. Trying out an ESEE Izula II fixed blade but not sold on it yet.

    What Boots Do You Wear?

Found a tear/hole in my alphaburly boots a couple weeks ago and have been going back and forth with getting another pair of rubber or switching back to leather. Finally decided on Danner 8" 400 gram Vicious boot. No it's not a "hunting" boot and does have a composite toe but think it will work...
