    Hawk Helium Mod

The 20” are lighter but you only have about a 16” finished step on the stick which I find a little short. Personally, I like the 24” better because of the longer stride which to me is worth the little bit of extra weight I’d def recommend an aider on the bottom stick so you can start higher on...

You can use these to stack them together. Very similar to the way the new HH are stacked. https://jrproducts.net/product/10665/ good luck

    Beside myself right now

Dry firing a bow happens to the best of us but more often than not it doesn’t do many damage. Get a magnifying glass and a bright light. Then check the limbs in particular. Look for cracks and splinters around cam axles and where the cams or pulleys fit in (slots) because those tend to tilt...

Amsteel for Lineman’s Rope and Tether

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve watched a few vids on the predator splice and they’ve all all started off by saying the same thing “it’s difficult the first few times” and they make it seem easy but it’s hard telling how many hours those guys have in learning the trade. I like the DIY stuff too...

Amsteel for Lineman’s Rope and Tether

That’s great info. Thank you for sharing your experience I’ll be ordering the predator rope. Sounds like you have experience with the predator. What are your thoughts on a sewn vs splice eye. I’m sure for my uses, the sewn eye will be plenty strong enough.

Amsteel for Lineman’s Rope and Tether

Oplux is 8MM where Sampson Predator is 11.4MM. I’m pretty certain that both have the same weight rating.

Amsteel for Lineman’s Rope and Tether

thank you for the feedback. I can see I had a rookie mistake and left out an important part of my question. “Any reason why most saddle hunters tend to use Sampson Predator or similar for a Lineman’s Rope and Tether”... instead of using Amsteel.
