I am an avid outdoors man love the woods and hunting! I enjoy backpacking in to the back country camping exploring new areas I have never been.
I am a bow hunter I rifle hunted most of my life and had quit hunting due to not being challenged. Since buying my first bow I was hooked from the very start!
Where I live our deer season starts in September and ends in March! So I usually shoot around 10-12 deer a year we can only shoot 2 bucks but honestly I love shooting big lead does almost more than trying to shoot a big buck. I truly believe it just about harder to kill a 5-6 year old doe than a lot of big bucks. She never gets lazy or stupid she is always on her game with a gun its cake but a bow much different story...
I'm excited to learn from the guys here I have been in the tree care industry for more than 10 years and I'm a climber and not to sound full of my self but I'm good. Learning how climb with out damaging a tree is fun!! Using spur/spikes however you want to call them is like putting clothes on blind folded.
I have hung lots of stand with my tree gear but never used any of my saddles to hunt out of. I don't know when you work in a saddle all day to make a living it never really struck me as lets now go do this in my past time that I love so much.
I have and old line mens belt no leg straps that I am experimenting with I put a rope bridge on it, it will work if I climb with spur but I think for national forest I want a platform. Brings me back to not damaging the tree!!!
Anyways enough about me I'm just here to learn! Because I love to shoot deer with my bows!!! I think every little bit help to be a better hunter!!
