4 Ameristep Strap On Tree Steps - $20 in Michigan

That's great! (although I have to admit I'm a bit jealous!) Still trying to track down a good solution for a strap on platform without spending an arm and a leg...

John this is great news - any idea what the price point will be?

Looking to buy the AeroEvolution soon!

New Tribe has the original version of the Aero Hunter listed for $299 (http://www.treestuff.com/store/catalog.asp?item=3641). Not sure if they'll still honor it, but when I purchased mine, I emailed them and asked if they would send the new version for the same price, and they said yes. I just...

4 Ameristep Strap On Tree Steps - $20 in Michigan

Not for sale by me: http://swmi.craigslist.org/spo/4827199629.html I ran across these on Craigslist, but the seller refused to ship them. He said he'd sell everything in the ad for $20 locally. Figured I'd post them up here in case there's someone closer to Coloma, Michigan that could pick...

    Loggy Bayou strap on Steps

Wow, $20 a pop? Why isn't anyone still making these? Is really the only demand from saddle hunters for a top platform?

    Loggy Bayou strap on Steps

Yeah, I saw those. $100 is a little more than I want to spend at this point, so I'm trying to find some cheaper options. Thanks for the heads up though.

    Loggy Bayou strap on Steps

Thanks for the feedback, that was kind of what I was thinking too, but didn't know if anyone had any actual experience with them before I made a purchase. Obviously it's hard to find the Ameristep and API strap ons since they're not made anymore.

Sorry, this isn't a great picture, but hopefully you get the idea:

    Loggy Bayou strap on Steps

Has anyone ever used the Loggy Bayou strap on steps? I'm considering picking up a few to use on a single strap as a platform, but wondering if there are any safety issues with the opening where the strap attaches to step.

    Affordable saddle for newbie?

Hey thanks for checking in. I haven't made a purchase yet, but have decided to go with the Aero Hunter. It's a lot of cash, but ultimately I think I'll be happier going that route when I can swing it.

    Trophyline vs Lone Wolf

LASOutdoorsmen, At $70, the Viper Tree Sling seems like it could be a good cheap option instead of a tree saddle. From the pictures I've seen though, it looks more like a safety harness than a saddle. Is it comfortable enough to hang out in for several hours hunting? What are your thoughts...

    Affordable saddle for newbie?

Yeah, I'm thinking it's more like a harness than a tree saddle. I'll post a question to LASoutdoorsman in the other thread to get his input.

    Affordable saddle for newbie?

$70 seems way more in my price range! I'll give them a ring tomorrow. Does anyone have any pictures or more info on the Sniper Tree Sling setup? I haven't been able to find much...

    Affordable saddle for newbie?

bowhunterchuck, thanks for the info. I've been trying to do a little research and I agree, the saddle looks safer and appears to provide better options. For someone just getting into hunting, I'm having a hard time justifying the additional cost on top of the money I've spent on everything...
