Why do you not kill the deer you are after?

Limited time with a family with 5 kids. Hunting public land, I am a meat hunter # 1. If I got the tag and it comes in range its going down. Maybe if I had all the free time or private land to hunt it would be different and id hold out for bigger bucks. But passing on deer doesnt put meat on my...

Favorite Hunting Clothing Brand (where you like the camo pattern)

I'm a fan of White Tail Forensics Camo. Pattern seems to work well, I've had a lot of deer pass me at 15 yard on the ground and never give me a look. Plus you can get their entire system for $260.10 right now, includes Jacket, Pants, Hat, Neck Gaiter, Gloves, and Long Sleeve Performance shirt...

    Turkey pacseat for deer hunting?

I just wanted to add to the turkey seat conversation and throw out a cheaper option for guys to look at compared to the $225 dollar pac seat. I've had nothing but good luck with Barronett Blinds, their top shelf blinds are hands down the best in the market. Some American products are worth the...

Does anyone just use the ring of step?

The new bullman steps got me wanting to pull the trigger on a set this year. They are cheap enough I wouldnt mind leaving them out on public land for a preset.

    Tree Styx

LOL, $500 to $600 for a set of 4 ?! Well I'll keep my Skeletors. Saving 4 pounds isn't worth that price.

    Tree Styx

Curious as to what the pricing will be on these. A lot of good features, and life time warranty! Pricing will have to be reasonable for me to put my Skeletors on the shelf and buy these though.

    DOG CONTROL

I'd try to have a calm, rational conversation with them about it. If the problem continued I would call the sheriff dept. out to deal with it. Another option is to take the dogs to the pound when found on your property, when they have to start paying money to get their dogs out of dog jail maybe...

    DIY umbrella

Some good rain gear would be the better option rather than messing around with a umbrella. If its storming so hard that a rain suit doesnt suffice I dont want to be hanging in a tree any ways.

    Love these boots

Ive never liked boots that are that high. Never found a pair that were comfortable while hiking long distance. I much prefer a ankle height boot with a quality leg gaiter from like T&K hunting. I also dont live in an area where i have to worry about snake bites. Rocky does make some good boots...

    Love these boots

I'd recommend DOUBLE H for a western style boot. I have a pair with the composite toe, water proof and some are even made in America.

    Mock scrapes on public

This was my first year running mock scrapes. I live in Northern Wisconsin and we are a no bait county. I was very successful with bringing deer in with them this year. I had hundreds of pictures of bucks, does and fawns hitting my scrapes. I hunt mostly public land too. I do my best not to hunt...

Anybody ever climb just to climb?

I climb just about every time I go outdoors. whether I am small game hunting or scouting. I always take game cameras with me incase I come across good sign. I always place them up high in trees angled down. Just like shooting a bow, it doesnt stop just cause season is out. you can never have...
