Friday: my son was sick so didn't get to hunt the morning. That afternoon I wanted to scout/hunt a new to me area. Bushwacked in and got on the Marsh and proceeded to fall into a gator hole up to my chest. My phone is toast. Found a crappy 4'' diameter pine and set up 2 sticks high. A small private plane kept going over real low. I waved my hat at him.... And he gave me a private air show with loops and rolls. I spotted a 10ft± alligator. Sun dipped and I got cold and packed it up
Sat: morning hunt, rode my bike in and got set up far in on the marsh. Raccoons. Got down and scouted around. Found a drainage that looked good and set up for the evening. I had 3 small hogs come in. I was so far out I didn't feel like dragging a small pig behind my bike so I let them walk. 3 does came in and farted around till dark. I felt pretty good about that spot so I left everything setup for the morning
Sun: ride in and was early. 2 does at first light and another hunter an hour later. Ride the bike to the truck and change areas. Scout in and find good sign in a pinch point. Got set up around 2 afternoon. Hogs were in the thick stuff I could hear them throughout the day but never saw them. 5 does came in and hung around till dark. I heard 2 separate grunts but he never showed himself.
Good weekend seeing deer just no bucks..... Could have done without the swim in the gator pond but I'm ready to get back after some swine once small game season opens that area back up
