Is 1200lb tensile strength webbing enough for use as an aider? I only ask because I’ve seen people use as high as 4,000lbs. I weigh around 200 fully clothed.

Depends on how much risk you want to assume. A lot of people on here would say no and that's ok. Me personally, being always tethered into the tree and maintaining 3 points of contact i would feel comfortable with it. Your aider should never be your life support. If it breaks it's prolly gonna hurt a little. But that also goes for carbon bolts and spur gaff outs. But if your practicing safe climbing techniques your going to be ok.
