17” (Mini) vs 32” Lone Wolf sticks “The Originals”

Used the originals for years but am now using the 24" mod with double steps and the amsteel rope conversion. Just more comfortable for me (5-9/180 lbs). The new sticks look awesome, as well as the stand, but when I hang sticks I like the option of the double step much better. just my opinion tho. never used the 17" mini's, I think its a bit short for a step and I would need more to get to 20' in my style of hunting.
 
I carried 4 of the original minis with rope mod for years. They're great. placed 24" ish apart, and using 4 and one loop aider at the bottom(which I would leave there) I could easily get 16'-18' every time. I'm 6'4". I'd throw a hondfull of cranford folders in my pack just in case and place one inbetween each stick if needed, but really only used when had weird trees, or wanted another step beyond my treestand. I just honestly hate the taking any sticks down t the end of the day and packign them up...with cold hands a tired mind it can just be annoying...
 
I gave the minis a try when they first came out and that didn’t last long.Prefer the simplicity of not having to use aiders to get the height i want.The simpler the better and the weight savings were not worth the trade off for me.
 
I have both and definitely prefer the minis. It’s not about the weight for me, it’s all about the shorter profile going thru the woods. Also, once I strap the minis to my pack I can leave them there. I just toss the pack in the backseat with the minis on it, store at home or in my office with the minis on it. The only time they come off the pack is to climb.
