You’ve always got the best bucks.
Kansas@Arrowsquirrel, what state do you typically hunt in?
Yeah I need to get out there. Is the whole state draw now for whitetails or are there any OTC whitetail areas? My daughter lives in Joplin, MO and I scouted some MO spots but really want to hunt KS.Kansas
It's all draw. Has been for a while but it didn't used to matter because there were more tags then people wanting to come. Definitely not the case anymore. The public is getting hammered now. Not that you can't kill something on it but it's totally different than even 3 years ago.Yeah I need to get out there. Is the whole state draw now for whitetails or are there any OTC whitetail areas? At least until season close gets near and no tag filledView attachment 91158
This guy was a solid, tall 2.5YO last year and he was ALWAYS around no matter which stand I hunted. Came right up to my tree a few times. Nice tall frame, hope he lives through the season and winter. He put on more than a handful of inches since I last saw him in January. He’s a definite Next Year shooter for me.
You’re not wrong. At least until season close gets near and no tag filled![]()
Which county? Public or private ? I'm in Kent and have seen one at Willow Grovethis bold bastard chose a bad time of day to show activity. Motivation to trim those leaves and some lanes by that stand. Real close to property lines so I don’t hunt deer there too often. I’m not so concerned about recovering a coyote though, just being honest. And there’s something, whether valid or just philosophical, to be said about letting a dead coyote lie so any passing pups will get the message that they don’t get to just patrol this property in the middle of the day without consequences. mostly intrigued (and admittedly pissed off) by the time stamp and because of that, now I’m thinking there’s probably a den on the neighbor’s. This is only about 100-150 yds from my house too, where my small dogs and kids play outside at that time. I’ve been pledging to take care of more coyotes every season, this season is the one methinks where I really try to put a hurting on them, especially if I can get a deer in the freezer early.

Oh you must mean Kent in DE. I live in Ohio now. My bad. Used to see them in DE on the border of Kent/NCC and up at Brandywine Creek State Park (hunting allowed there).Which county? Public or private ? I'm in Kent and have seen one at Willow Grove
