Dope on a Rope

Season is over here, so I’ve been goofing around with different ideas for improvement for next season.

I started making a tether clip, then had a thought about simplifying/combining different common tools. I’ve gone through several iterations and came up with a tether aider(for advancing without sticking your fingers under rope) doubling as a pack/bow hanger, that holds the tether clip inside, and I’m working on a way to incorporate the pull down rope without it getting too big. Here are some of my results so far. To be honest I don’t personally have any real desire to use the tether aider but I’m curious about hanging stuff from my tether and looking to improve on the o-ring I’ve been using without having a bunch of extra pieces around. Potentially eliminated extra gear hanger/strap.

Any ideas you’re working on for improvement next year?

Think I’m happy with the latest design. I’ll beef up the walls a hair and make it out of nylon come spring. Pretty compact for a bow hanger, tether aider, tether clip, and 30ft pull down rope. Traveling next few weeks so it’s done for now.

Haha I bet I have a few 3d printers but haven’t started playing with making my own stl files

I haven’t done much CAD in the last 20 years so it was good exercise. And my printers haven’t seen much action in the past year or so… I figured I’d let one of them stretch its legs.
