Do you think using "ShoeGoo" on the end would would work? Got a good amount of that laying around from fixing my wifes rock climbing shoes.
Its worth a shot. I have seen guys use plasti-dip as well. Now this rope is used in the arborist industry however I have seen this rope for sale in a lot of marine industry type stores. I particularly wanted the 11mm stuff. Treestuff and wesspur did not carry it but I found it on pyacht.com. I will warn you though their prices per foot were high. 11mm was over $3 per foot. Even the 9mm & 8mm were priced higher than the arbo websites. Just throwing it out there in case you were looking to use a ropeman 1 and wanted to stay in compliance with ratings or the ropeman 1. I know you were using the camp grab at least i think you made a video about it. I bought goop from treestuff i think it was called pmi dip. That stuff takes a long time to dry not the 25mins that is listed on the package. I also used some adhesive lined shrink wrap tubing which I also got from treestuff and that work really well. I then just dap the exposed end in the goop as a precaution.
