Whats the best way to make aider for lonewolf mini. I have 4 of them and I believe I want some type of permanent aider on each one. I also have several cranford rope steps and will that rope work as material to make aider. Thanks

Check out DIY sportsman on YouTube. If I knew how to paste the link I would he has a video where he shows how to build the aider for the lone wolfs and then an update video. In the update he mentions that it can be used on stock and minis I believe.

As to the rope I am unfamiliar with it so don't know. Nylon webbing tends to be the go to. You can also get it with dyneema in them making it very strong stuff.

If you know how to copy and you know how to paste then just copy the link and paste it into your reply, the forum software will take care of the rest.

If not....find a kid

Highlight link in address bar, RT click, click copy (or ctrl+c). Start reply, RT click, click paste (or ctrl+v).

If you’re on your phone and want to copy a YT link then find the 3 vertical dots (probably on the right) and mash that. Then mash “share link”. Then mash “copy. Then start reply and hold your finger on the screen until “paste” shows up. Mash said “paste”.

Voila.

I just posted this in another thread lol:

What I ended up doing was popping the bottom cap out and running a file around the inside of the tube to take the edge off. Then I tied an overhand knot in each of the free running ends. I pushed them up into the tube one at a time with the bolts removed. Then I slipped the bolts back through making sure they were in between the two pieces of webbing.

I used to use single aider like that until I saw all the movement they made on a breezy day. Now I use a moveable 4 step aider that goes into my pack so nothing creating additional movement.

I use a suspension strap from a cheap harness. I put some 550 on it to keep the loop open, I can move it if I want to and sometimes do.

Man I never even considered that. I have several of those just sitting in a box. Just pick up a couple more old Lone Wolfs to tinker with. I’m thinking about making some more minis and I might try the suspension strap.

Did you do the cobra weave with the 550?
